 When space is a primary consideration, or to provide access to an upstairs room addition, basement or loft, a simple spiral stair kit is often your most practical solution. Sierra Stair Company provides economical and easy to install kits that demand minimal floor space. A typical five foot diameter spiral requires only a 64" square or circular opening. Spiral stairs are manufactured in a variety of materials. Steel spiral stairs are used mostly for interior applications, and are the least costly material. Aluminum spirals are ideal for exterior use. Either metal stair can be upgraded with options such as oak or safety walk tread covers or oak handrail.
